Artwork based on a poem by the Portuguese poet Gastão Cruz 'The spoon', about sweet childhood memories.

A journey through Africa, to the universe of my childhood memories.
#FADO
Fado is a Portuguese musical genre, very traditional that assuming the representation of fate as inevitable, poetic and tragic destiny, a history that is told, feels, and sings. I expressed this idea with some visual elements merged in a recipe rather bizarre.
The Douro river in the background, with typical boats carrying barrels of Porto wine gives a poetic atmosphere, which overlaps a guitar, the singer Amalia Rodrigues and the figure of Karo man with painted face. We can read lyrics excerpts from fado's Amália in the background, and on the whole set, scrawls symbolizing written musical notes by naive way.

The wealth and popularity of the former as opposed to the latter, an anonymous, poor child with only a rags ball and that one day dreams becoming a football star...

This work intends to represents an unchangeable memory which belongs to several people.
Different images materialize a divergent reminiscence among them that is close to the remembrance which represents, also characterized by this childlike drawing.
Descriptions as a backdrop, symbolize at the same time both the onlooker and the object in a sort of a transference game"
